Linda parris-Bailey, executive/artistic director
Linda is the Executive/Artistic Director and primary Playwright-in-Residence for The Carpetbag Theatre, Inc. Her works primarily focus on themes of transformation and empowerment. Her most recent work, Speed Killed My Cousin, was featured as the opening event of the Network of Ensemble Theaters’ Micro-Fest in Appalachia. “Speed” has received a 2014 New England Foundation for the Arts (NEFA), National Theater Project Award. Her play, Dark Cowgirls and Prairie Queens is considered the company’s signature work and continues to tour and be produced nationally.

The Carpetbag Theatre, Inc. Board of Directors enables and approves our work as an ensemble company. The Board works creatively to envision our future and the future of the communities that we serve. They evaluate the work of the company artistically and as it relates to social impact and leadership development.
